Warranty Policy

At Ezy Auto Parts, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage available on our products and how to make a claim. It operates alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Any warranty offered below is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the ACL.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Most products we sell are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods, terms, and conditions vary by product and brand. The applicable warranty period and any specific conditions are determined by the manufacturer and, where available, are noted on the product listing or accompanying documentation.

If you are unsure of the warranty period for a particular product, please contact us with your order details and we will be glad to confirm.

What the Warranty Covers

Subject to the conditions below, warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that cause the product to fail under normal use during the warranty period.

Where a valid warranty claim is approved, we (or the manufacturer) will, at our discretion and in accordance with the ACL, repair the item, replace the item, or provide a refund.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Warranty does not cover, and may be voided by, any of the following:

  • Incorrect fitment, installation, or removal, including parts not fitted by a suitably qualified person where required.
  • Normal wear and tear, including consumable and wearing items (e.g. brake pads, filters, wiper blades, belts, bulbs).
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or improper maintenance.
  • Damage caused by modification, alteration, or tampering with the product.
  • Use of the product for motorsport, racing, competition, or any application for which it was not designed or intended.
  • Damage resulting from related component failure, incorrect fluids, or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Failure caused by environmental factors, corrosion, or external impact.
  • Products where serial numbers or identifying labels have been removed, altered, or are illegible.

Important: Labour and Associated Costs

Unless required by the Australian Consumer Law, warranty covers the part only. We are not responsible for, and warranty does not cover:

  • Labour or installation/removal costs.
  • Towing, transport, or recovery costs.
  • Diagnostic fees.
  • Loss of use, hire car costs, or any consequential or incidental costs.

We strongly recommend having parts fitted by a qualified mechanic and retaining your fitment invoice, as this may be required to support a warranty claim.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with the following:

  1. Your order number or proof of purchase.
  2. A description of the fault, including when and how it occurred.
  3. Photos or video of the fault where possible.
  4. Where applicable, evidence of professional fitment (e.g. a mechanic's invoice).

Assessment Process

Once we receive your claim, we will review it and may need to inspect the product or refer it to the manufacturer for assessment. You may be asked to return the item for evaluation. We will advise you of the outcome and the next steps as quickly as possible.

If a returned item is found, on inspection, not to have a manufacturing defect (for example, where the failure was caused by incorrect fitment or misuse), the warranty claim may be declined and return shipping or assessment costs may apply.

Return of Faulty Items

For approved warranty assessments, please do not return items without contacting us first. We will provide return instructions and confirm whether return shipping will be covered.
